Active Futures Recognition Scheme

Show your commitment to the health and well-being of Norfolk’s children and young people by applying to the Active Futures Recognition Scheme.

This scheme recognises those groups and organisations that are implementing the principles of Active Futures in improving the awareness of the importance of physical activity, and playing their part in improving the provision and experience of Norfolk’s youth in sport, physical education, and physical activity.

What is Active Futures?

The scheme outlines a shared vision: “To inspire all young people in Norfolk to realise the benefits of an active lifestyle,” to achieve the desired outcome, “Happier, healthier and more successful young people and communities.”

This concise and actionable strategy sets out aspirations for all young people in Norfolk and outlines how each setting working with young people can contribute to these aspirations.

Apply for the Recognition Scheme

Use the form below to tell us how the scheme has inspired you or your workplace to improve children and young people’s physical competence, and how you are contributing to this shared vision for children and young people.

Early years settings that are implementing improved physical activity awareness and opportunity are encouraged to apply for this Recognition scheme.

Submissions to the Scheme will be reviewed by panel members from the strategy board on a regular basis and will be open all year round.

The Recognition Scheme award is valid for two years.

Successful applicants of the Recognition Scheme receive a selection of the following materials to promote their award:
– AF approved logo for use on digital communications
– A printed certificate for display in reception
– A digital certificate for display in reception screens, and which can be used in social media promotion
– Graphic sticker for display on doors and windows
– Email banner
– PR and social media support
